I'm Dr Caroline, a veterinarian with a special interest in canine medicine and behaviour issues. I have put together this site as a guide to help people thinking of buying a puppy ensure they select the best breed for their lifestyle. Finally I wanted to give current dog owners some quality information about their favourite dog breed. Well I've got great news, Arthritis in Dogs is now complete and I am currently working on Worms in Dogs... watch this space! The Dog Blog is up and running, which is very exciting. It is a special bond that man makes with dog, and one which cannot be understood by those who have never owned a dog. The love, companionship and loyalty that dogs give their owners is unconditional and their intelligence still blows me away today. I have set out the site to achieve a number of things: 1) Firstly to help those people thinking of buying a puppy, to choose the best dog breed for them 2) Secondly to give some quality scientific information on a number of common dog health issues such as worms in dogs, diabetes in dogs and arthritis in dogs. 3) And thirdly to give some quality scientific information about dog mating and whelping puppies.
