Pomeranian Dog Breed

Whether it be a designer dog or a family pet that you’re after, the Pomeranian dog breed is a great choice! The breed also has Royal heritage, as Queen Victoria was a huge fan of these sturdy little dogs. It is an all-round versatile, unique-looking little stunner. Pics of Pomeranian Dog Breed The breed is thought to be a descendent of the Wolf-Spitz breed and is also an ancestor of other arctic breeds such as the Keeshond and the Samoyed. The main role of these dogs was as sledge dogs. The smallest pups from litters were kept as pets and bred together, and so Pom Dogs were born as a breed in the 1700’s. The average lifespan is around 11 years, but they can live for up to 13 years with the right diet, genetics and lifestyle. They usually grow to about 23-30 cm in height and weigh between 2 and 3 kgs in peak condition.
